Stairwells
It's interesting that no matter how well finished a building is, the stairwells are likely to be left as ugly, echoing concrete and painted cinder blocks, with all the piping left exposed.
not that the pipes don't have their own brutal aesthetic. It's just odd that stairwells are continually left exposed.
